Description: Lots of options for Saturday, 3/21.
1) Jim Fuller is hosting a ride in Smith County. It's a little bit of a drive and features some good climbs - beautiful scenery and about 43 miles. It's on the Veloteers calendar if you are up for a little challenge. Check the Veloteers calendar for info and to sign up.
2) Sally's Tour de Mt. Juliet. A bit of a slower pace, but good riding around Mt. Juliet. It's about 15 miles and features greenways and roads. Check the Veloteers calendar for info and to sign up.
3) & 4) The 2 routes listed below from Gladeville Community Center. The routes are 19 and 37 miles. The 19 is relatively flat and should feature a slower pace than the 37. Sign up for one of these 2 via this posting.
Saturday looks like a good window to get out - at least on today's Weather.com reports. Our crack team will be checking the weather and will send out updates as necessary.
Hey, it's true - These miles won't ride themselves. Your bike needs you. Do it for the love of the ride, you had me at hello! Show me the money - wait, that one doesn't work in this case. Ask not what your bike can do for you, Ask what you can do for your bike.
We'll start at the parking lot at the Gladeville Community Center (or the church across the street). No guarantee of restrooms open at this location.
The longer route is 37 miles. If any wants to ride longer, we can add miles after.

Description: Welcome to the Adventure Series where we will try some unique spins on familiar routes. Starting at The Gladeville Community Center the route rolls on 4 miles of familiar paved roads; then we split off on 3 miles gravel. For beginners it may be more than enough. For experience gravel riders it’s not enough. For Goldilocks it’s just right.
Weather always plays a part in early spring rides, so we’ll update ride notification based on the weather. Heavy rain or below 40 degrees is a no go.
Ride Leader is not an expert; however, he has ridden this section over 10 times on 32 mm wide tires. At the ride start we will revisit some gravel riding tips:
If you wish to skip the gravel, there is an alternative route on McCrary Rd. about 2.4 miles south where you can pick up the route AFTER the gravel section.
At the halfway point Ride Leader will stop at Lacy’s Market (Couchville Pike/Fellowship Rd) for a “Payday”
